 Registration Fee $10 ($15 at the door) Additional contributions will be greatly appreciated. The low registration fee is intended to encouage active bidding at the auction. The musicians and a catered luncheon have been donated, so all proceeds will support the five ministries listed below.

Holy Trinity provides and supports a wide-range of Social Ministry Programs to directly assist people in need. Our programs are sustained by the generosity of friends and members. The Open Doors Auction will support the following service ministries:

HUG (Human Understanding and Growth)
Each Saturday afternoon, September-July, 40 to 50 isolated and.or emotionally disadvantaged people come to Holy Trinity for a hot meal, fellowship, and to receive assistance.  Founded in 1977, it is staffed by two paid psychiatric social workers and volunteers.

Men’s Shelter at Holy Trinity
Overnight beds and hot dinners are prepared for up to 14 men from New York City's homeless population, from November-April. Services are provided in collaboration with the NYC Department of Homeless Services and Partnership for the Homeless. The Men's Shelter is staffed byo ne paid professional and a corps of volunteer cooks. It has been operating at Holy Trinity for over 20 years.

Music Kitchen -- Food for the Soul
Inspirational, therapeutic, and uplifting chamber music performances—from classical to jazz—to guests of Holy Trinity’s Men’s Shelter Program, Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen and Turning Point Youth Shelter. Performances have reached about 5,000 underserved listeners, presented by 70 established or emerging artists in about 50 shelter concerts since its founding in 2005.

Trinity Place, LGBTQ Youth Shelter at Trinity Lutheran Church, W 100th St, NYC                 A non- sectarian, 10-bed transitional shelter, open all year to provide LGBTQ youth with a safe place to sleep, eat, store belongings, and have access to transporation. Through community partnerships, they provide access to comprehensive medical services, case management, education, career counseling, art classes and mental health services.

Tanzania Partnership, Kibeta English Medium Primary School (KEMPS)
Provides teachers, books, and classroom supplies for 500 children annually in Bakoba (near Lake Victoria), where students place at the top of the national proficiency exams. KEMPS has been supported by the Metro New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) for the past 10 years.
