Sixth Sunday of Easter
11 o’clock in the morning
Thoughts from Pastor Miller
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Alleluia! Christ is risen! Yes, we are still in the midst of Easter.
We continue to bolster our Sunday morning leadership in a host of areas. Quite a few of you have already signed up to assist at worship, help with the altar guild, be a greeter/usher, sponsor coffee hour (or contribute financially), and count offerings. I am thrilled with your enthusiasm. If you have not signed up yet, please do so this coming Sunday.
I am also mindful that summer is fast approaching. I have been told, “Pastor Miller, expect worship to decline.” Well, I do not expect that! Of course, you will be vacationing, going to the beach, and hiking in the mountains, but, please, when you are in town, come to worship. Your brothers and sisters expect you and need you.
If you are away during any weekend, come to Mass on Wednesday evening at 6:30. This service lasts about 1/2 hour and is a lovely way to rest in God’s presence. On Wednesday, May 24, we will celebrate the Ascension of Our Lord on the eve of the Ascension. Join us.
Finally, please be generous as summer nears. Again, one of the “summer patterns” is the decline in offerings. If you plan to be away, support your church in advance. This helps us with ministry.
Keep shouting “Alleluia! Christ is risen,” and, by all means, practice resurrection in your life.
Alleluia! Christ is risen!
Pastor Wilbert Miller
