This Week at Holy Trinity

Festival of The Holy Trinity
Mass
June 11
11  o’clock in the morning

Pastor Carol Jeunnette
Preaching & Presiding

Pastor Jeunnette’s focus and passion for the past two decades has been understanding and lending a hand to congregations and clergy facing difficulties.  Now semi-retired, she continues her work with the application of Bowen Family Systems theory to congregations and leadership through writing, coaching and consulting.  Carol and her husband, John, are Holy Trinity members though away many Sundays in other congregations where Carol does pulpit supply. They moved to Brooklyn last year to be closer to children and grandchildren. Pastor Miller is vacationing in Europe and will return next Sunday.

Join us for this glorious festival of the church year as we celebrate the festival of our church’s name day.

Evening Prayer
Wednesday, June 14
6:30 p.m.
Gather for a lovely, quiet, and meditative evening of prayer.  This is a lovely way to end the day in the presence of God.

Summer Beach Reading: Brothers Karamazov

Beryl Mercer to Be Honored

Beryl Mercer, one of Holy Trinity’s longest time members–if not the longest!-will be honored on Saturday, August 12, 2017, 1-6 p.m.,  by the Virgin Gorda Mutual Society of New York.  We hope to have a few  members of Holy Trinity attend the event at Eastwood Manor in the Bronx.  Tickets are $100 a person.  If you are interested in attending, please call Pastor Miller.

Thanks Be to God
 to Frank Suttell!
On May 19, Frank Suttell resigned from his position as Treasurer if the Metropolitan New York Synod after five years of faithful service. We at Holy Trinity give thanks for Frank’s astonishing service to our synod. Of his faithful leadership, Bishop Rimbo wrote that Mr. Suttell “[has] given tremendous leadership to our Synod, setting us on a trajectory of financial stability and strength for the sake of God’s mission.”

Pastor Miller’s
40th Anniversary of Ordination
On Sunday, June 25th we will celebrate Pastor Miller’s 40th Anniversary of Ordination! All are invited to a celebratory luncheon in the Community Room following mass that day. Contributions may be made to the Building Fund for the purposes of repainting the Community Room and stairwells – a top priority on Pastor Miller’s “wish list” of items to be completed at Holy Trinity in anticipation of our 150th Parish Anniversary.
