Pastor Miller’s Sermon This Sunday – “When You Wish upon a Star”
Genesis 15: 1-6
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, “Do not be afraid, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”
But Abram said, “O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” And Abram said, “You have given me no offspring, and so a slave born in my house is to be my heir.” But the word of the Lord came to him, “This man shall not be your heir; no one but your very own issue shall be your heir.” He brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” And he believed the Lord; and the Lord reckoned it to him as righteousness.

Reflecting with Pastor Miller
Final Sunday Morning – August 7
9:45 – 10:35 a.m.
2nd Floor of Parish Hall (in the library)
This is the final gathering for members and friends to join Pastor Miller to dream together about our future life together at Holy Trinity. Already, a number of exciting and achievable ideas have surfaced.
This is your opportunity to share your hopes, dreams, and visions for ministry at Holy Trinity.
As you prepare for this final gathering, give special thought to what “baby steps” we might take as a community of believers to “sing a new song.” How might we open our doors wider and make the Lord’s Table a place where all are welcome? What gifts might you offer to make this occur?
Already, a number of exciting ideas have surfaced for our future.
Ring the bell for the 2nd floor of the Parish House for entrance.
This half-hour liturgy is a lovely way to rest in the midst of the week or to attend worship when you are going to be away on Sunday. Pastor Miller preaches homilies at this liturgy.
If you are new to Holy Trinity and would like more information
about our congregation, please see Pastor Miller. If you are looking for a new church home, a new members class will be forming soon and we would love to have you join our parish family; these classes will be for those transferring from other Lutheran congregations, coming from other Christian traditions, or seeking to be baptized.
Join us on Sunday, August 14 at the 11 AM Mass with incense in commemoration of Mary, Mother of Our Lord. Music by Parsons, Britten and Josquin sung by the Parish Choir.
